1. Explain the real condition of your experinces in terms of; Where do you live,  what are the people cultural background near you, how do you interact with them, in what activites, Etc.

Then make your own statement about definition of understanding across culture from your experiences above.

 

** Where to live in Patani, southern Thailand, South Thailand, there are several provences where the minority population is Muslim and Malay, namely the Patani, Yala, Naratiwat, and Sanggora provences. custom of life. According to my definition, cross-cultural understanding is an understanding of nationality, ethnicity, religion through the same language and communication style, customs, beliefs, and attitudes of a person.

 

2. There so many cultural  problems happen the society. Please observe the problems around the society where you live, then try to analyze the causes and the effects of that cultural problems.

 

** Some of the factors that cause and effect the conflict are as follows:

1)     Conflict in the political field, Losing the power of the Malay Islamic kingdom of Patani

2)     Conflict in the economic field, Inequity in the distribution of results Earth.

3)     Conflict in the cultural field, does not provide room for diversity.

 

3.     How do you see the life of Indonesian people in terms of understanding cultural differences in terms of tribes, religions, social status, jobs, ect. Please explain!

 

** Indonesia as a country that has a wealth of ethnicity and culture, Indonesia is famous for its diversity. It must be respected by everyone in it, both in similarities and differences. Each ethnic group has a unique culture, which gives identity to other Indonesian ethnic groups.

Therefore, the community will have their respective attitudes, namely:

- Appreciating differences, one of which is using Indonesian with friends who have different regional languages from ours.

- Participate in mutual cooperation with friends either at school or at home, regardless of their ethnicity or culture.

- Maintain an attitude of tolerance and respect for each other's differences. Resolve problems by way of deliberation to reach consensus.

 

4.     Do you think technology advancement today can be potential tools to accomodate the problems of cultural differences? Explain and give examples!

 

** I think technology can be a potential tool to accommodate cultural differences. because technology is the whole means to provide what is needed for the survival and comfort of human life. Technology plays an absolute role in every aspect of our lives. from this technology, it will make humans expand different perspectives on culture and make humans understand other cultures by spreading through digital technology.
